After many years spent onstage mouthing the words of other writers, Jenna Barton found her own voice while playing with an on-line community of mouthy broads. Mostly settled into a life of carpool lanes and checkout lines, she happily resides in suburbia with her husband and their two children. After a whirlwind week at the 2012 Romantic Times Convention in Chicago, she returned to the south with an offer for publication of her first book, Indulgence, forthcoming from Riverdale Avenue Books. Jenna would like to thank her critique partners Kari Haines and Venessa Guinta, as well as the generous assistance of Leigh Olsen for their support and contributions to SNAG. Twitter | Facebook
Violet Lyte grew up in the sweltering heat of the South and spent much of her time amongst the sand and waves. With a love for the fantastical, she dreams of time travel and tentacles, worlds of dark fantasies and never-ending adventures. Twitter
Terence Plum is the pseudonym of a writer who has used her degree in dramatic literature solely for nefarious purposes. She’s spent most of her life skirting the issues and on the best of days can be found wandering around Brooklyn. Twitter
Ann Roberts loves almost nothing more than the art of language, the way the right threading of a sentence can bring new meaning to the simplest of words. Although she’s been writing since the age of seven, she didn’t know she wanted to be a writer until college where she earned a B.A. in English with emphasis in Creative Writing. Her writing professor remains one of her biggest motivators and influences. While her favorite place to write is outdoors in nature with a pad and pen, she most commonly writes indoors on her laptop. She finds inspiration in literature, people, music, nature, photography, news, and her husband who paints, sketches, and writes poetry. Twitter
S.D. Ryan is a writer and self-professed geek. She enjoys waking dreams, pretty words, and things that are bigger on the inside. One day, she will write something that isn’t smutty, but for now, she’s happy to make your cheeks flush and your heart pitter-pat. Ryan lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband and two kids. Alexandra Santander has a prim and proper day job on the periphery of the legal-political world in Washington. Her evenings are spent running a kinky photo blog on tumblr (and sometimes actually doing other kinky stuff). She is an avid reader and occasional writer of erotic fiction. In addition to being a member of the Pique editorial team, Alexandra also contributes to piqueyour.tumblr.com. Twitter
Cameron Sykes is a professional writer most of the time, just not when his words are filled with moans and the sharp crack of hand connecting with skin. He’s been writing kink on Tumblr for almost two years, where you can find him at My Trousers Rolled. Twitter
Ruby Theron writes our Real Life Sex column. She is a thrice-married mother of two living in the DC metro area. She has a full-time gig as COO for a small nonprofit, and she teaches four Zumba classes a week in her copious free time. Ruby’s degree is in applied anthropology, which may in part explain her continual fascination with the role of sex in different cultures … especially her own. Having led a fairly promiscuous and adventurous lifestyle (by U.S. cultural standards), her friends (i.e., the editors of Pique) consider her somewhat of an authority on sex.
